Urantia Foundation welcomes four new trustees
The Trustees of Urantia Foundation are pleased to announce the election of a new generation of Trustees. Our leadership team needs more qualified servers to fulfill our mission of spreading The Urantia Book and its teachings throughout the world.
Each new trustee brings years of professional experience to the Urantia Book community. They add geographic and gender diversity critical to the global expansion of the Fifth Epochal Revelation. “It is wonderful to finally expand the Urantia Foundation Board of Trustees from the current five members to a new nine-member board,” said Marilynn Kulieke, Urantia Foundation vice president. “We are so grateful that each new trustee has chosen to share their talents, experience, and dedication with us. What a wonderful day!”
¶ Olga Lopez Molina
Olga lives near Barcelona, Spain. She holds two degrees, in Computer Science and Philosophy. She is a civil servant and works as an IT analyst in a public company. Married and mother of two daughters in their twenties, a reader of The Urantia Book since 1995, she is increasingly involved in the Urantia community at the national and international levels.
She served the foundation as:
- President of the Urantia Association of Spain (a national affiliate of the Urantia Association International) for eight years,
- Associate Administrator of the Urantia Foundation.
- One of the members of the revision team of the Spanish translation El Libro de Urantia, she is currently:
- The director of the Spanish branch of the Urantia Book Internet School (UBIS).
- Member of the Foundation’s Translation Committee.
¶ Victor Garcia-Bory
Victor, born in Mexico City, lives with his family in New York City. For over 30 years he has worked in the field of marketing and communications, which has allowed him to come into contact with many countries, cultures, languages and industries. Victor is a member of a diverse group of professional, cultural, educational and business organizations.
He served the foundation as:
- Head of the Spanish office of the Urantia Foundation from 2001 to 2004.
- Associate director from 2010 to 2015, and associate director emeritus until August 2022.
I am currently :
- Member of the foundation’s translations committee.
¶ Sherry Cathcart Chavis
Sherry has been studying The Urantia Book since she was a senior in high school. She has served as editor and associate editor of Tidings and The Journal of Urantia Association International, respectively, and has been a member of the Fellowship’s Education and Advanced Study Committees. She has facilitated classes and a café for the Urantia University Institute, facilitated several sessions at the Fellowship’s Summer Study Sessions, and is a member of the UAl Education Committee.
Sherry is currently the Secretary of the Virginia Carolina Readers (VCR) local association and study group in Raleigh, NC, led by Dr. James Perry. Sherry is married and lives in Durham, North Carolina, USA.
She serves the foundation as:
- Associate Administrator of the Urantia Foundation since 2016
- Member of the fundraising committee
- Member of the governance committee
¶ Chris Wood
Chris has been actively involved in the Urantia community since 1998, including serving as International President of the Urantia Association from 2013 to 2021, and as Associate Trustee of Urantia Foundation since April 2021. Chris is married to Alice Wood, an active leader in the Urantia community. Their two children have the rare distinction of having four grandparents who read and study The Urantia Book. Outside of Urantia service, Chris has worked as an air traffic controller for the past fifteen years. He is also active in social and spiritual services in his community of Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA.
He is currently:
- Associate administrator of the foundation since 2019

Urantia Foundation is a non-profit religious foundation [US tax status: 501©(3)] created in 1950. Based in Chicago, Illinois, USA, Its purpose is described in its statutes called “Declaration of Trust”.
The main tasks of the Foundation are: Protection of the text, dissemination of teachings and their translations.

ARTICLE II
OBJECTS
2.1. PRINCIPAL PURPOSE: The object for which this Foundation is established is the promotion, improvement and expansion among the peoples of the world of the understanding of Cosmology and of the relationship of the planet on which we live with the Universe, of the genesis and destiny of Man and his relationship with God and of the true teachings of Jesus Christ; and to inculcate and encourage the realization and appreciation of the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man — in order to increase and improve the comfort, happiness and well-being of Man, as an individual and as a member of society, by fostering a religion, philosophy and cosmology commensurate with the intellectual and cultural development of Man.
2.2. CONCORDING PURPOSES: The concordant objects for which the Foundation is established are the perpetual and inviolable preservation of the text of THE URANTIA BOOK and the dissemination of the principles, teachings and doctrines of THE URANTIA BOOK.
