[1] Near the Jabbok River, travelers reached Mount Sartaba, the site of Herod's fortress where he imprisoned his wife and buried his sons. [2] On their second day's journey, they camped near the base of Mount Sartaba, the highest mountain overlooking the Jordan valley. [3]
