Jesus succeeded Sepphoris, spending a week in Tiberias before moving on to other cities around the Sea of Galilee. [1] At Tiberias, conferences of Herod and Sanhedrin were held to plot the arrest and trial of Jesus, despite Herod's initial refusal. [2] James of Safed from Tiberias sought Jesus for his demon-possessed epileptic son. [3] Jesus told apostles to avoid Sepphoris and Tiberias in their future work. [4] Thomas, the leading citizen of Tarichea, was the son of excellent parents who lived at Tiberias. [5]
