These self-centered rulers, desiring to be called rabbi, crave honor from men while secretly exploiting others for gain. [1] Jesus, the Rabbi, led these believers to be unafraid of his divinity, fostering a bond of friendship with God incarnate in human form. [2] Only a rabbi was qualified to act as a judge in matters brought for adjudication. [3]
