Force is a term that in The Urantia Book is broadly used. It has not the generally accepted definition of force. There are physical forces, mental forces and spiritual forces. [1] Force is a term that denotes pregravity stages of energy. [2] All energies deriving from the Unqualified Absolute but which are as yet unresponsive to Paradise gravity are called cosmic force. [3]
All force is circuited in Paradise, comes from the Paradise Presences and returns thereto, and is in essence a manifestation of the uncaused Cause—the Universal Father. [4] All forms of force and all phases of energy seem to be encircuited; they circulate throughout the universes and return by definite routes. [5]
Whatever the transformations of force in the outlying universes, having gone out from Paradise, it journeys on subject to the never-ending, ever-present, unfailing pull of the eternal Isle, obediently and inherently swinging on forever around the eternal space paths of the universes. [6]
All physical force, energy, and matter are one. [7]
Jesus taught about the necessity for using spiritual force for the purpose of breaking through all material resistance and for surmounting every earthly obstacle which might chance to stand in the way of grasping the all-important spiritual values. [8]
