The proud Alpheus twins knew Jesus refused to accept the rich man, revealing his impartiality in forming the kingdom of heaven. [1] To enter the kingdom of heaven, Matadormus had to relinquish his pet evil of wealth, only to later become treasurer of the Jerusalem church. [2] Matadormus and other Jewish leaders met with Jesus in the home of Nicodemus to discuss his teachings and message of light. [3]
Matadormus, a rich young Pharisee and member of the Jerusalem Sanhedrin, desired eternal life but struggled to give up his wealth to follow Jesus as one of his messengers. [4]
