The 23rd Psalm was whispered to the shepherd boy in the night season. [1] God feeds his flock like a shepherd, renewing their strength and carrying them in his bosom. [2] Jesus told Peter to be a good and true shepherd to the flock, not betray their confidence, and be on guard at all times. [3]
